After a life-long love affair with the land, Katrina Briggs only picked up a camera ten years ago. Since then, she has established a burgeoning catalogue of striking macro photography. Drawing on the intensity of nature in its closest form, her work is almost otherworldly. 

The up close images show another side to leaves, flowers, fruit and all aspects of our stunning flora. If her subjects were faces; it would be like highlighting the character lines that are the windows to our souls. 

Her work captures an energy by eliciting the extreme natural beauty of mother nature. Most assume to get this, Katrina travels far and wide; however most images are taken very close to home. Her work highlights that to see the beauty of our planet, we don’t necessarily need to travel the world over – but simply look right in front of our noses…
